Description:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree, or at least 5 years relevant experience and Higher Qualification in Safety and Security Management.
- Professional Security Management Certifications from accredited institution
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Proven experience in safety and security
- Proven training skills, qualifications and experience of training multi-national staff.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels and establish networks.
- Strong analytical skills and experience of incident reporting, incident mapping, information collation and dissemination.
- Proven experience and understanding of humanitarian operations and understanding of programming in an emergency.
- Ability to work autonomously in a highly stressful and challenging environment.
- Strong and proven skills in managing a team in hostile environments.
- Proven knowledge of MS office applications and IT literacy and capacity to learn and use other packages.
- Good understanding of the Save the Children mandate and child focus and an ability to ensure this continues to underpin all aspects of the job.
- Commitment to Save the Children Child Safeguarding policy.
- Indonesia mother tongue and fluent in English languagues
Responsibilities:
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Risk, Safety, Security and Access Manager will implement Save the Children’s Safety and Security Policy and Standards within the team and help drive systemic change in the quality of safety and security management and contribute to building country compliance with safety and security Minimum Standards.
S/he will work closely with the Humanitarian and Impact Innovation Director, group directors & SMT and the Regional Security department to ensure our staff and partners operate as safe as possible and deliver safe programs to beneficiaries. She/he will also take forward the organizational security ethos. The post holder will play a key role in the capacity building of Safety & Security Focal Points (both for SCIDN and partners).
Within his/her role, the RSSA Manager will extend his/her support to all SCIDN/SCI staff based. The RSSA Manager is also expected to work with other neighboring SCI country SSA Managers and SSFP members when required.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
