The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Safety Specialist (Associate or Mid-Level) to join the team in Everett, WA.
The Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) team is looking for a Safety Specialist to support various teams at the Everett Site. This position is encouraged to apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify mitigations to existing and future EHS risks in the production system. As part of the EHS team you will support health and safety initiatives, projects, compliance, provide mentorship and cultural influence through the safety team, leadership team and airplane program.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a safety related field (Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Toxicology, Bio-Engineering, etc.)
- 1+ years of experience in Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)
- 1+ years of experience performing Occupational Safety and/or Industrial Hygiene duties in an industrial environment
- 1+ years of experience collaborating across functions and organizations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 3+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of experience with safety processes and procedures in a manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of experience managing projects
- 1+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements and monitors occupational health and safety programs and processes
- Develops and provides training and instructions
- Evaluates the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations
- Develops corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspections
- Plans and conducts health and safety audits
- Supports the planning, implementation and assessment of occupational health and safety programs and processes
- Drafts health and safety programs that provide consistent approaches to risk reduction and compliance
- Investigates safety and health incidents and complaints
