How can you inspire innovation at Nuseed?
As a Safety and Wellbeing Specialist at Nuseed, you’ll foster a proactive safety culture and develop innovative wellbeing programs addressing mental, financial, social, physical, and career wellbeing. You’ll lead the digital transition to Enablon, leveraging data analytics for targeted safety interventions. By implementing continuous feedback mechanisms and integrating industry best practices, you’ll enhance risk management and safety performance. Your role includes comprehensive training for Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) and new starters, and conducting thorough incident investigations using the ICAM process, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety at Nuseed.
What will you be doing?
As the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Specialist at Nuseed, you will work closely with the Human Resources team to ensure a safe and healthy workplace. Your role involves:
Fostering a strong safety culture by supporting the leadership team, designing and delivering key programs, and assessing our safety culture maturity.
Evolving the Nuseed Australia Wellbeing program by using contemporary, measurable, and employee-driven feedback to support the five wellbeing pillars: mental health, financial, social, physical, and career wellbeing.
Managing risk by embedding sound risk management practices and ensuring ongoing monitoring and research to control high-risk safety concerns.
Evaluating, investigating, and reporting on injuries, incidents, and near misses, using the ICAM process as required.
Administering health and safety software (Site Docs) and supporting the transition to Enablon.
Managing injury and near miss processes, ensuring timely responses and proper reporting.
Training and supporting Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) and new starters, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and certifications.
Developing, implementing, and maintaining safety management system programs, policies, and procedures.
Assisting with budget processes and capital expenditure submissions.
Providing sound advice to the leadership team and supporting managers and employees in following safety policies and procedures.
What do you bring?

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:

Formal qualifications in WHS, minimum Cert IV in Health & Safety.
Previous experience in a similar or equivalent role.
Ability to interpret and apply legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience working in the agricultural industry.
Return-to-Work Coordinator certification.
ICAM or equivalent investigation training.
