Description:
Team lead of stringing workers
Tecnolines Italia S.r.l. filial i Finland is seeking an experienced Team lead of stringing workers for a fixed term position from June 2024 to October 2024. As a Team lead of stringing workers, you will be responsible for coordinate workers in charge of stringing, adjusting and fixing conductors and all activities related to the commissioning of a high-voltage power line that is under construction at Viitajärvi - Simojoki and Simojoki - Herva.
The construction of the power line is carried out in several stages and includes route design and revision, access roads to the line and preparation of pulling yards for winches and brakes, execution of rock and normal soil excavations, foundations and site restoration, transport and assembly of steel pylons and polygonal poles, stretching of fiber optic conductors and guard ropes and commissioning test of the line and final tensioning.
You should be able to read assembly drawing of hardware, use specific machinery for stringing electrical cables, use total station for measuring spans between the towers.
A certificate of training of working at height is required.
The role is suitable for you if you have at least five years’ experience in working with construction of 400 kV transmission lines and have experience in the work tasks described above. Turkish language skills are required as the workers in the teams on the construction site are all from Turkey and don’t speak Finnish nor English. The working hours are 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday. The work might require working also during the weekends depending on the needs of the construction schedule.
