JOB SUMMARY:
As a Sales Account Manager for DEM Technology at Altair Germany, Austria & Benelux, you will be part of the local and global sales organization, selling various Simulation solutions such as DEM (Discrete Element Method) to range of organizations across multiple industry sectors.
The Account Manager is responsible and owns the revenues for Altair EDEM, global leader in Particle Simulation Technology, across the DACH region. You will be responsible for selling and promoting marketing leading Altair EDEM software products and support services to customers appropriately and effectively to demonstrate Altair’s value add proposition to customers. As part of the Altair Germany team, you will collaborate closely with all departments to ensure an excellent customer experience with Altair. The Account Manager will be capable of using approach to build strong relationships and enhancing Altair’s unique position in the market.

Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN YOUR ROLE:
- Drive new software sales to achieve targets by identifying, prospecting, and hunting new opportunities with the support from the Technical and Marketing teams as well as other Sales Account Managers.
- Defining go-to-market strategies based on the territory by working with local and global Teams.
- Act as a sales overlay for DEM Technology by taking full ownership of the revenues for Altair EDEM in DACH
- Managing complex sales cycles and coordinating with the SDRs, other Sales Account Managers, Marketing, and technical departments to propose appropriate solutions with high added value for our customers.
- Conduct market & territory research on targeted accounts, verticals, competition and more.
- Work with Global Altair team and managing the engagement with Altair DACH team.
- Strategically work on developing collaborations with research groups, industries, and academia to evangelize the technology.
- Drive new business through various initiatives cutting across industries such as battery, pharmaceutical, powders, chemical, steel, cement, automotive etc.
- Capture, maintain, and expand the customers and prospect database using a CRM system.
- Cover local and global markets, in multi-language and cultural diversity.
