Description:

Sales and Business Development Manager
We are looking for a highly motivated Sales and Business Development Manager with a positive attitude who will leverage their lead-generation and relationship management skills to develop, lead and implement growth opportunities and drive new investment into the world of cryptocurrency.
This role is based in Sydney and will be reporting to the National Head of Business Development, working alongside and collaborating with a range of functions, including the OTC Desk, Marketing, KYC and the Support Team.
As the ideal candidate, you will be an integral part of the wider sales team, which includes the team in Singapore. You will be results-driven with the ability to take on the personal challenge of exceeding targets and revenue goals and contributing to the delivery of the sales team’s objectives. You will have an optimistic approach and a resilient outlook and see challenges as an opportunity for creative thinking and further discussion.

A broad sales role across a range of sectors, some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with our business goals and objectives.
  • Identifying and targeting new business leads and sales opportunities, establishing relationships and negotiating contracts to successfully onboard new clients.
  • Managing a sales pipeline of high-value opportunities.
  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure the successful onboarding, activation, and retention of clients.
  • Staying current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory requirements that may impact our sales efforts.
  • Using data and analytics to track and report on sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and make strategic recommendations.
  • Participating in group presentations to partners (small group presentations, webinars, video conferencing, etc.) and attending industry networking events.
  • Following up on and managing inbound enquiries.
  • Onboarding customers onto the OTC trading desk in a timely manner whilst observing regulatory obligations.
  • Exploring potential business growth avenues through social media and other lead-generation channels with the support of the Marketing team.

ABOUT YOU

Skills and experience we are looking for:

  • A genuine passion for Crypto and the ability to quickly build on existing knowledge of the crypto ecosystem. Industry experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Ideally, a minimum of 2-3 years of B2B sales and business development experience from a financial services, payments or investment background, with the ability to demonstrate previous success in managing client-facing roles.
  • The ability to successfully manage a sales process through the entire sales cycle, from identifying an opportunity to proper qualification, contract negotiation, through to closing.
  • A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to engage with key stakeholders at all levels.
  • A willingness to engage in outbound sales initiatives and a flair for presenting.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • An appetite to progress and expand knowledge and responsibilities.
  • The tenacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and market opportunities.
  • The ability to think creatively and apply effective problem-solving skills.

Other skills and experience that would be ideal:

  • CRM (HubSpot) experience.
  • A strong professional network.
