Description:
About the Role -
This is an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, and friendly retail team where excellence, success and people are valued and rewarded. You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Engage with customers, asks questions and drive sales.
- Support the Store Manager with an array of operational tasks and projects, including stock ordering, stock takes, banking, cash handling, merchandising and much more.
- Restocking depleted or low store items.
- Attending to customers who require assistance at the pumps.
- Labelling goods and ensuring the correct price is displayed.
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards according to established guidelines.
- Assisting the service delivery team with orders.
- Opening and closing of premises and associated security.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
- Performing end-of-day cleaning duties, which includes wiping down windows, mirrors, and fixtures as well as sweeping and mopping the shop floor.
- Processing customer payments using the store’s Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of store items to provide advice and recommendations as needed.
- Any other duties as required to ensure the effective operation of the store.
QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED
- Friendly, passionate, people-person;
- Great communication skills.
- A positive attitude with the ability to problem solve.
- The ability to remain calm and coureteous under pressure.
- A passion for providing excellent customer service and always putting the customer first.
- A passion for sales and prior sales experience in a similar environment is an added advantage.
