Position: Sales Associate– STS Sales
Reporting to: Director, Sales
Location: Remote
What we are looking for:
As a Sales Associate, you will be helping the STS sales team from the initial customer interaction through the development of a proposal including the solution design, pricing, financial modeling, proposal support, and post sales partner support. The Sales Associate will support several outside STS Sales Team members, and will be key to making sure deals move through the sales funnel to booking as quickly as possible.
The sales team will depend on you to be an expert on the entire indicative process including analysis, pricing, proposal outputs, finance, Salesforce hygiene and case management. The Sales Associate will be the critical nexus of each project and will help your team meet their sales goals.

Required Skills/Responsibilities:

  • Work as the main point of contact for the STS sales team for all internal deliverables from proposal inception through booking and hand-off to operations.
  • Working with STS Business Development team supporting various projects including brownfield initiative by conducting market research & analysis including identification of current owners and optimizers of portfolios BTM & FTM assets. This role will also support financial modeling activities to support the brownfield initiative.
  • Create and manage customized economic models that capture the full scope of the value we are providing our partners on the largest and most strategic deals. This will entail working with clients to understand their business needs and work with cross functional teams to build out the business case for discreet projects / opportunities.
  • Manage all aspects of preliminary and final proposal development, including but not limited to coordination, writing, editing, maintenance, and document assembly.
  • Become an expert on solution design and be able to address technical questions / objections pertaining to economic modeling, savings analysis, due diligence, new markets, tariffs, pricing, etc.
  • Be able to drive customer meetings, calls and other events on behalf of the STS sales team they support when requested
  • Deliver training to partner accounts as required
  • Be proactive and willingly learn how to use and master the tools required to help Partners incorporate Stem Software & Services into their market offerings
  • Communicate project status to appropriate stakeholders as needed and via CRM system for reporting.
  • Quotes: Develop quotes in CPQ
  • Internal process: With direction from the sales lead, internal tasks working with other groups like sales operations to ensure customer satisfaction and timelines are met.
  • Pipeline development: With the direction of the sales lead, create campaigns to prospect new customers and follow up with existing customers to drive sales.
  • Represent Stem in a professional manner during customer meetings, conventions and site visits.

Required Experience:

  • Positive attitude, strong ability to communicate across departments and drive to “get the deal done.”
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of related experience in analytics, consulting, finance, or sales engineering ideally within the energy sector.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Highly analytical, with ability to create custom models in MS Excel and work with complex logic.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required with classes/understanding of finance and accounting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail a MUST!
  • Ability to multitask, work under tight deadlines, with strong project management, organizational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to strategize, research, and compile necessary data.
  • Experience in analysis with energy storage, solar, construction, design, or an engineering-related industry is a plus.
  • Experience with Energy Tool Base is a plus
  • Expert-level abilities in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Experience with Salesforce.

Salary Range
$62,100.00 - $86,950.00
