We are looking for a

SALES DIRECTOR CHANNEL EXPANSION (M/F/D)

to a new position within Oras Group’s Sales Management team.
The purpose of this role is to define tactics and execute Oras Group go-to-market strategy. The aim is to manage a successful entry into DIY, online retail and specialty retail channels by maximizing the likelihood of getting it right the first time and minimizing the impact of channel conflict.

In this role, you will be responsible for

  • Coverting go-to market strategy into tactics and an action plan to enter new channels successfully
  • Overseeing and developing execution plans to enter new channels
  • Identifying and evaluating new business opportunities and customers to support channel expansion together with stakeholders, always maximizing the total opportunity on group level.
  • Minimizing Channel Conflict by assessing the potential conflicts via a structured risk assessment.
  • Building needed expertise in-house
  • Establishing governance to handle decisions. Escalates high risk decisions to Management team
  • Executing and follow up of B2C channel expansion strategy in close alignment and cooperation within Sales Management team and cross functions
  • Leading a cross functional retail-team
  • Ensuring the execution of the retail channel entries and expansion in all relevant dimensions in close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and decision makers
  • Defining target setting for relevant channels and markets

The position reports to Chief Sales Officer, Christoph Gasser and is a part of Oras Group Sales Management team (SMT). The location of this position is Espoo/Finland, Stuttgart/Germany or any other Oras Group location. The role involves occasional travel.

The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial roles in a similar setting with focus on B2C channels
  • Knows the relevant players in European DIY chains and retailers
  • Solid experience from multi-national and multi-channel sales or category management environment with intimate knowledge of slow-moving consumer goods or hardware retail
  • Commercial B2C experience is a must, B2B also preferred
  • Ability to convert strategy into tactics and action plans and steer execution of those in a matrix
  • A role model in building cross-functional collaboration, coordination, information sharing and business alignment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence on all levels
  • Strong business acumen
  • English language is a must. German, Finnish or Swedish a plus
