JOB DESCRIPTION

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Director to join the Customer Team in the Civil Aerospace business and we are looking for highly motivated individuals with strong communication and negotiation skills to join the team.
The Customer Team within Civil Aerospace is pivotal in helping Rolls-Royce prosper. The main objectives of a Sales Director in this team are to deliver business and maximise profit for both new aircraft and in-service fleets through original equipment sales and long term maintenance support agreements.
As such you will be responsible for understanding customer needs, developing sales strategies, positioning Rolls-Royce products and services, developing campaign tactics, pitching commercial solutions and negotiating complex and high value proposals.
The Sales Director role will be located in Singapore with candidates also having future opportunities to be considered for roles in one of our main global offices either in Beijing (China), Singapore, Abu Dhabi (UAE), Reston (USA) or Derby (UK)

Qualifications and experience:

  • You will have demonstrated broad business acumen, high levels of interpersonal savvy, good customer focus and a strong drive for results.
  • You will be educated to Degree level or equivalent, MBA is an advantage but not required.
  • You will be able to understand the customer’s view to effectively anticipate their needs.
  • You will be capable of influencing across all levels both internally and externally.
  • You will have knowledge of the aerospace/aviation industry and understanding of Rolls-Royce products and services will be an added advantage.
  • You will be culturally aware, ideally with international experience.
  • Diverse cultural background is welcome.
  • You will be willing to travel as the role demands.
  • Your fluency in foreign languages will be an advantage.

  • Be able to demonstrate a proven record of achieving sales targets, or how your experience would be relevant and valuable in a Sales role. Direct experience in Sales is not a requirement and either the position and remuneration will be matched to your experience.
  • Be able to demonstrate leadership qualities and management skills.
  • You are requested to provide a suitable CV ( maximum 2 pages ) and a covering letter stating why you think you would make a good Sales Director.
