Description:

Nuventura has developed a new generation of electrical switchgear that is highly innovative and environmentally sustainable, replacing the world’s strongest greenhouse gas SF6 by simple dry air. Together with our partners we are now industrializing for scaling-up globally and serving customers and projects around the world.
To support us we are hiring a Sales Engineer (f/m/x) who will help to keep the order pipeline filled. In this important role you will have a major impact working on the external customer interface and finding solutions for their technical and commercial requirements. You present our climate-friendly innovative products to them on video calls, during real-life visits or exhibitions on international trade fairs.
To be successful in this role, you need to combine good technical, commercial and communication skills. You have a technical or techno-commercial background and at least 5 years of work experience, ideally in the medium-voltage switchgear or related fields. You are able to work in a fast growing company, and establish structure and processes where they are not yet in place.
Tasks

What will you be responsible for?

  • You will communicate externally to customers to align on offers and for technical and commercial project clarification
  • You read and review project specifications, comment on those and prepare technical and commercials offers accordingly
  • You represent nuventura during customer meetings and give presentations, both in online meetings as well as during visits or attending fairs and events
  • You keep the offer tracking file up to date, so we maintain an overview about what we have offered and which projects we can expect to win.
  • Once a project is won, you make the detailed technical and commercial clarification and prepare documents for the handover to the internal project execution team.
  • With your first-hand experience from the customer’s applications, you support the internal colleagues to understand the needs and deliver better solutions
  • You constantly help to setup and improve our tendering and sales tools for leaner, faster and more efficient processes in the future
  • You perform market and competitor analysis, building on your experience in the different markets and customer segments

Requirements

What do you need to bring into the company?

  • Bachelor or Master degree in electrical engineering or related fields with prior knowledge of hardware products, preferably in switchgear
  • At least 5 years of work experience, thereof 3 years in a sales or other customer interface role
  • Good mix of listening but also speaker/presenter skills
  • Flexible and problem-solving mindset
  • Sense for urgency, priorities and the right level of detail
  • Very good written and spoken English (B2), and at least basic German level (A2), spanish is a plus
  • An appetite to learn about our product with attention to detail and important nuances
  • Positive personality that colleagues and customers enjoy working with
  • Hands-on mentality combined with responsibility and teamwork
  • Full-time work permit for Germany
  • Willingness to travel from time to time, to customers around the globe
  • A valid driver’s license (B) is a plus
