QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in sales, preferably within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
- Strong understanding of freight forwarding concepts, services, and industry trends.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and persistence to pursue sales opportunities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in sales management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and business development activities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and prospecting activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients to understand their logistics needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including operations, customer service, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of client requirements.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and quotations to effectively communicate the value proposition of our services.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients to maximize profitability and minimize risks.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitive activities to identify potential business opportunities and threats.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and report on progress towards sales targets to management.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote company visibility and generate leads.
- Continuously strive to enhance product knowledge and sales skills through training and professional development activities.
