THE OPPORTUNITY
Leavitt Machinery is looking for a motivated Sales Intern to join our team in Kitchener, Ontario from June 3rd, 2024, to August 23rd, 2024.
As a Sales Intern, you will play a pivotal role in augmenting the efforts of our Sales teams. This is an unparalleled opportunity to gain practical, hands-on sales experience within the rapidly growing machinery and material handling equipment industry.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
- Current enrollment in a business, marketing, or related degree program
- Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal skills
- A keen interest in working in sales, coupled with an eagerness to learn about the machinery and material handling equipment industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- A self-starter with a robust work ethic

Responsibilities:
As a Sales Intern your key responsibilities will include:
- Business Development: leverage sales skills for various lead generation and qualification projects
- Market Research: perform research to identify prospective clients and emerging market trends
- Client Engagement: interact with clients via phone, email, and virtual meetings to understand their unique requirements and to qualify their material handling equipment needs
- Product Proficiency: develop a comprehensive understanding of our products and services to better understand potential customer needs
- Sales Administration: support in compiling sales reports, drafting proposals, and creating presentations
