POSITION SUMMARY

Eleven is seeking a flexible and driven Sales Manager to manage specific seasonal base products and be considered the expert in their destination(s), while holding responsibility for meeting and/or exceeding established revenue budgets. This position will create a strategy action plan for each assigned product, growing existing industry accounts and generating new business to maximize revenue and market share. This position will sell to both direct and indirect clients, and coordinate with the local operating team, as well as support product development and marketing. This position requires 3 - 5 years of sales experience in the luxury travel industry and/or adventure sales, as well as excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and strong networking and negotiation skills. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Marketing, or Communications. This full time, year round, benefited position starts at $70,000 - $90,000 base salary, plus incentives up to a total of $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

  • 3-5 years of sales experience in the luxury travel industry and/or adventure sales.

Responsibilities:

POSITION PURPOSE

  • The Sales Manager will manage specific seasonal base products and be considered the expert in their destination(s), while holding responsibility for meeting and/or exceeding established revenue budgets. This position will create a strategy action plan for each assigned product, growing existing industry accounts and generating new business to maximize revenue and market share. This position will sell to both direct and indirect clients, including direct customers, travel advisors, wholesale agents, lifestyle concierge companies, tour operators, meeting planners, and other assigned accounts. This position will also coordinate with and support the local operating team, as well as support product development and marketing efforts related to their assigned products.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/FUNCTIONS/TASKS

  • Manage both proactive and reactive sales for assigned seasonal base products and accounts, meeting or exceeding annual sales targets for those products and accounts.
  • Develop leads and close business with new and repeat guests, leisure and group travel producers, including travel management accounts, travel advisors, consortiums, and wholesalers.
  • Solicit new and develop existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
  • Design and implement sales action plans for each assigned product and account, detailing proactive and reactive sales tactics to acquire new customers.
  • Manage the preparation of proposals and contracts.
  • Ensure the closing of the sale, the collection of deposits, and prepayment of assigned accounts.
  • Coordinate and host trips and activities to promote familiarization with the properties and surrounding areas.
  • Develop a robust network within assigned territories.
  • Professionally represent Eleven in community and industry organizations and events, including trade shows, road shows, and events to promote assigned products and the Eleven brand portfolio.
  • Strengthen both client and property relationships associated with assigned products.
  • Ensure accounts, operations, and sales/reservation team members are routinely provided updates on assigned products and accounts, and trained on current offerings.
  • Develop & maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales and CMO to develop relevant sales and marketing collateral, promotions and campaigns.
  • Manage all assigned accounts within Salesforce and comply with all standard operating procedures related to managing Eleven’s CRM.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, as required.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to Eleven’s customers and travel partners.
  • Participate in scheduled sales meetings, training and other sales strategy related meetings as required.
  • Maintain knowledge of all Eleven products to facilitate cross selling. Build relationships with sales counterparts to relay leads and requests. Communicate need period dates and respond promptly to all leads.
  • Additional responsibilities with this position above/beyond a sales role include:
  • Support Direct Sales Manager and Direct Sales initiatives related to the Mountain West / West Coast Markets (and other regions as assigned).
  • Act as the Sales Affiliate Program Assistant Lead. Collaborate with the Sales Director and Direct Sales Manager to roll out Eleven’s sales affiliate program.
  • Act as the Experience Team Liaison. Collaborate with the Operations team to further develop the transition between the sales team and local experience teams. Create SOPs surrounding the process.
