To keep our market leader position and further enhance our growth in process automation business, we are now looking for a Product Sales Manager (w/d/m) for Germany, selling our MAXUM II process gas chromatograph to customers in Chemical, Petrochemical, Renewables, and other industries.
In your role as a Product Sales Manager (w/d/m), you will play a critical role in working directly with our customers to ensure the sales and servicing of our MAXUM II. Your industry knowledge and expertise will be put to good use to ensure that services, audits, sales, and customer agreements are carried out to a high level of performance and to the customers satisfaction.
The preferred location for the position is the Rhine Ruhr area.

As a Product Sales Manager (d/w/m) your main work tasks include:

  • Create sales opportunities by monitoring customer needs.
  • Follow all sales leads in the market and ensure that sales opportunities are followed based on the trade compliance and code of ethics procedures.
  • Do customer visits to maintain the existing customer relationships and create new contacts.
  • Receive and manage customer inquiries.
  • Review and control quotations and purchase orders.
  • Effective use of Valmet sales tools.
  • Work with customers and the Sales Support and Operations teams of the Europe Hub to resolve any issue in the pre-sales, quotation, contract & project phase.
  • In this position you also have an opportunity to obtain international experience when working with our partners and regional sales organization around the world.

What do we expect from you?

  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a suitable field, like electrical/mechanical or chemical technologies.
  • You have several years of work experience with process industry or energy sector.
  • You have a customer-centric mindset, and you have the capability to turn customer problems into commercial solutions.
  • You are fluent in German and good in English - and you have good intercultural communication skills.
  • You have good presentation and customer interface skills.
  • You are comfortable working in a dynamic business environment, where you will need your problem-solving skills, sometimes under time pressure.
  • You enjoy working with technically advanced products and you are capable to finish what you start in a good way.
  • You are willing to travel approx. 50% in your area of responsibility (driving license class B required), but also international on a less frequent base.
