Job Description
John Crane has an open position for an experienced sales professional as a Sales Manager in Nordics region. Sales Manager will be coordinating and managing sales within the Nordics region with existing sales teams in each country in Nordics (Finland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway) to deliver year-on-year growth in both volume and margin.
We are looking for you who have the passion for sales & customer service and want to support your team members to grow and achieve their goals. In this role you will be ideally based in Central Finland, Muurame, reporting to Sales Director UK, Ireland and Nordics.
We are open to candidates from other locations from Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Proactively participate in strategy development and take a leading role in the creation and implementation of sales plans which support the company’s growth aspirations.
- Responsible for budget planning and implementation.
- Drive accountability in the Sales function ensuring goal achievement.
- Create a focus on results by setting and monitoring KPIs, targets and directing resources to perform in accordance with business requirements.
- Close cooperation within other teams, i.e. Marketing and Order Processing.
- Manage and monitor the performance of all team members, ensuring succession is built into the organization.
- Lead key customer relationships and key contract development & order successes in the allocated territory
- Act as a role-model for compliance, ensuring appropriate processes and controls are in place and followed to meet the highest ethical standards and to adhere to Company regulations.

The Individual
- Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering preferred
- Minimum 5-years experience in mechanical engineering related sales with knowledge of industry practices and standards.
- Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies.
- Experience of international sales.
- People management experience.
- Fluent English skills, additional language skills such as Norwegian/Swedish/Danish/Finnish are a big advantage.
- General computer and software skills.
- Financial and budget management experience.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
- Cultural awareness.
- Leadership, performance management and flexibility skills.
- Negotiating, influencing and relationship management skills.
- Commercial acumen and customer service mentality.
- Familiarity with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 is preferred
