Description:

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The B2B Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the business-to-business (B2B) sales team. This role involves developing and executing strategic plans to achieve sales targets, fostering client relationships, and ensuring the overall success of the B2B sales function. The B2B Sales Manager collaborates with internal teams to align sales efforts with organizational objectives.

Typical work activities:

  • Sales Strategy and Planning:
  • Develop and implement effective B2B sales strategies to achieve revenue goals.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Collaborate with senior management to set sales targets and align strategies with company objectives.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing B2B sales team.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance coaching to sales professionals.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement plans.
  • Client Acquisition and Retention:
  • Lead the team in identifying and acquiring new B2B clients.
  • Foster strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Implement strategies to maximize client retention and satisfaction.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
  • Develop and manage sales forecasts and budgets.
  • Prepare regular and accurate sales reports for senior management.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and other departments to align B2B sales efforts.
  • Communicate market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to relevant teams.
  • Collaborate with executives to ensure overall business success.
  • Sales Training and Development:
  • Implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the B2B sales team.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and provide ongoing education to the team.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Contract Negotiation:
  • Oversee contract negotiations with B2B clients, ensuring favorable terms for the organization.
  • Work with the legal team to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Resolve contract-related issues and disputes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience in B2B sales leadership, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales strategies, techniques, and trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and other sales management tools.
