Description:

We are adding a seasonal Sales Representative to our Portage la Prairie location. Expected term will be spring through to the summer months. Every day, our Sales Representatives connect customers with exactly the right Turf equipment for their needs. This is an inside sales position for one of the highest quality products available - John Deere - to the greatest customer base. In this role you will:

  • Listen to customers and understand their requirements so you can find them the right product;
  • Provide the financing options available and help the customer select the one that fits their situation;
  • Take advantage of training and resource materials so you are familiar with all the features and benefits of the different products;
  • Ensure that the sales and display areas are well-presented and organized;
  • Fairly value all trade-ins;
  • Clearly explain all aspects of the sale and properly document it;
  • Be ready to demonstrate units for the customer;
  • Represent the company at product-related events;
  • Provide the best follow up and after sales care to our customers and if something is not right, work with the team to make it right;
  • Always be professional and act safely.

Required Skills

To excel in this position, you

  • Are organized, positive and enthusiastic-you realize that what we are selling is a work task completed faster.
  • Have excellent customer relationship skills
  • Are familiar with the operation of outdoor power equipment
  • Are familiar with the general purchase financing process and options
  • Have a current driver’s license in good standing

Required Experience

Do you

  • Have 1 - 2 years sales experience with a similar type of product
  • Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Have a current Salespersons permit issued by province of Manitoba (will obtain after hire)
