SALES REPRESENTATIVE (INDUSTRIAL VALVES) – JOHANNESBURG.

Our client, a local supplier of industrial valves is looking for a sales specialist to resell their wide range of steam, water, oil, and gas valves to new and existing customers throughout South Africa.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 5 to 8 years’ recent sales experience in the industrial valve industry is essential.
  • Technically minded.
  • A valid driver’s licence.
  • Advanced skills on MS Office Suite and knowledge of Syspro would be an advantage.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical and people skills are required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • The ability to form strong business relationships based on excellent customer service and communication.
  • Able to close deals.
  • Must be able to open and service new account customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining of new and existing customers in the Water reticulation, Irrigation, Sewage, Mining, Power generation, manufacturing, oil, and gas industries.
  • Developing and growing new business relationships specifically in the South African Valve industry and other related business sectors – securing new business leads.
  • Meeting and exceeding set sales targets for the valve division.
  • The development and management of sales budgets, objectives, and strategies.
  • Monitor the tender, costing & quotation process, and success rate.
  • Negotiate various Contracts and Projects.
  • Establishing and maintaining Project and Customer information files.
  • Reporting monthly and pertaining to current tenders, orders, and targets.
  • Pricing, maintaining, monitoring, and managing the process for annual contracts.
