Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Our Townsville Branch is looking for its next superstar machinery Sales Representative (known internally as Area Manager).
This role will specialise in the Vermeer range of equipment across NQ covering territory from Mackay to Cooktown and everywhere in between! You will represent and build solid & dependable relationships with our customers. We want to ensure we provide them with the machinery they need (or just simply want!) for their chosen operation.
THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Actively pursue new business opportunities whilst maintaining the current customer base. Prospecting is the key to this role with a strong emphasis on cold calling.
- Travel 2 out of every 5 weeks (Company vehicle supplied)
- Maintain focus on company profit margins.
- Develop knowledge of financing options to assist customers
- Attend applicable sales training events/seminars
- Develop and keep informed on competitor activity within the region.
YOU WILL BRING THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE TO THE ROLE:
- Previous sales experience, ideally in the machinery industry
- Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM & sales software systems
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to seek sales opportunities
- Professional presentation
