The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Sales Specialist for Oral Care Solutions Division, South Africa, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Meeting and exceeding sales target while managing administrative responsibilities and CRM requirements.
  • Negotiating and closing sales opportunities by presenting 1:1 or to small groups using persuasive verbal and written communication skills.
  • Responding rapidly to customer requests and interacting with a professional demeanor to established strong business relationships within the territory.
  • Independently solving problems with a positive attitude in a competitive environment.
  • Collaborating and sharing knowledge with 3M teammates and internal cross functional teams.
  • Willingness to working after hours on event evenings/weekends

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in the field of Dentistry
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Dental industry after qualification
  • Fluent English Knowledge spoken and Written
  • Current, valid Driver’s License

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Dental Sales experience preferred
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed annual sales forecast and increase market share within an assigned territory
  • Knowledge and understanding of professional selling process and skills.
  • Advanced Territory Management skills including analytics, strategic planning, prioritization, and tactical execution utilizing all available resources to maximize results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office application software, on-line sales support systems and Internet savvy research capabilities
  • Experience using Customer Relations Management (CRM) software (i.e. Siebel, Oracle, Salesforce.com, SAP CRM)
  • Ability to negotiate and close sales opportunities by presenting 1:1 or to small groups using persuasive verbal and written communication skills (F2F and Virtual)

Travel: May include up to 60-70% [including both domestic and international]
Location: South Africa, Western Cape
Territory Includes: Western Cape, Eastern Cape and Garden route including both Private and Public Sector
