Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

  • This an ideal entry level role for someone that wants to eventually progress and start selling content in the future
  • It is a busy and dynamic role in a fast paced TV Sales environment. The core of the role is to provide full back to back support of content sales deals in Africa, MENA, CEE & CIS, supporting 2 busy Sales Managers and a Sales Exec.
  • Provide information for Sales Managers and Exec to support the identification of sales opportunities and the development of compelling sales propositions and pitches.
  • Proactive in developing market knowledge and insights around key clients, competitors, CEEMA territory, BBCS and competitors’ content and audience demographics – communicating this information to support of Sales Exec/ Managers in the identification of sales opportunities and aligning the sales pipeline to key clients for pitch.
  • Source and collate market analytics, research & insights and pricing data in support of the development of pitch materials.
  • Support sales teams to develop presentations and business proposals to support the Sales Managers/Exec/Director in executing the sales/pitch process.
  • Distribute appropriate marketing information to clients in the territory - catalogues, and other relevant publicity, prepare specific presentation for sales pitches as required by the sales team and liaise with Marketing Team on direct marketing campaigns.
  • Work closely with the Sales Delivery team to ensure new and existing clients are configured and have access to sales related systems and tools (eg OLC portal). Coordinating with clients and the Sales Delivery team to obtain information required to ensure system configuration is processed, as a pivotal component of the delivery of sales pitches and marketing assets.
  • Coordinate the handover of the sale at the conclusion of deal negotiations to the Sales Delivery team; ensure contracts are issued and a smooth transition of the deal to post sales support and asset delivery is achieved - liaising with Sales Managers, Clients and the Sales Delivery team as required.
  • Liaise with sales teams to update the weekly sales data with deal information confirmed and pending and provide other management information on sales in the territory/business as required
  • Responsible for updating relevant sales forecasts with deal information and inputting into sales reporting as required.
  • Provide complete administrative support to the sales team including diary management, dealing with incoming mail and phone calls, fielding general internal and client queries, organising diaries for Markets and Trade Fairs and organising business trips.
  • Organising team meetings, agendas and taking minutes
  • Maintain comprehensive records of client correspondence and other relevant client and territory information.
  • Have an extensive knowledge and understanding of all IT systems used by sales teams. To be known as a ‘super user’ and provide additional system training to help others within the region.
