We have an exciting opportunity for a Mandarin-speaking Sales Support to join a rapidly expanding wholesale and import/export produce business that supplies to New Zealand’s leading supermarkets. This company is moving to a brand-new office space in Mangere, you will be working in the dock/warehouse office, and supporting the sales and warehouse teams in their daily operations.
With 80% of the workforce being Mandarin-speaking, the understanding of both New Zealand HR practices and Chinese culture is pivotal.
This is a permanent, on-site, full-time role that brings plenty of variety.
Tasks include:
- Processing purchase orders and invoicing
- Arranging deliveries and coordinating with couriers, liaising across various departments (including supermarket clients, transport companies, and the warehouse),
- Correspondence via email and phone,
- Maintaining the database and online ordering system,
- Filing of documents, invoices, and delivery dockets
- Compile and present sales data and reports for informed decision-making
- Ensure compliance with NZGAP documentation standards
- Support administrative tasks as required
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of our product lines and business operations
Our Ideal Candidate: We’re looking for someone with:
- Previous administration experience
- Strong initiative and ability to lead later down the line
- Fluency in Mandarin with excellent written and oral communication
- Prior experience in the produce wholesale field or working in a warehousing / logistics context (ideally)
- Legal working rights in New Zealand
