Description:
Access World is a global Freight & Project forwarding and commodities warehousing company including logistics business. Active in more than 30 countries, we offer complete logistics, storage and supply chain solutions, tailor-made to our customer requirements for various commodities including metals and minerals, soft commodities, chemicals, renewables, oil & gas, project and general cargo. We are an approved warehouse keeper of the London Metal Exchange (LME) and Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), and we provide warehousing and associated logistics and value-added service to traders, producers, financiers and consumers of non-ferrous and ferrous metals, ferroalloys and minor metals etc. Our worldwide offices and operations span across Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe & Middle East, and US. Each region operating in semi-autonomous offices with their own corporate functions including Commercial, Finance, HR, Compliance & Legal, Customer Service, and Operations.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the individual will have the relevant skill sets, capable of establishing and developing vendor relationships in South East Asia, including carriers, transporters/brokers and port operators etc.; Procurements of transport, warehousing and ocean freight rates locally and internationally for both import and export cargoes including full hands-on operational support where required; Preparation and submission of quotations and proposals; Maintain and develop existing/new customer relations with specific focus on Clearing and Forwarding.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate as a member of AW Indonesia and regional SEA teams, working closely with other Commercial and Business Unit Managers within South East Asia and other Access World entities globally
- Attend networking and directing customers enquiries
- Request rates from service providers and assist Business Development Manager & Commercial Managers for all proposals compilation
- Establish and develop vendor relationships in South East Asia e.g. with transporters, barge brokers/ carriers, container shipping lines and freight forwarders including full hands-on operational support where required
- Maintain high standard of service delivery at all times
- Outgoing personality to be able to communicate effectively with customers and build positive relationships
- Must be able to resolve problems/queries efficiently
- Address internal and external operational issues, liaise and coordinate with vendors (ports operators, transporters etc.) and internal customers
- Attend monthly commercial activity reporting in the form of sales pipeline/enquiry register
- Prepare and submit customer onboarding documents to legal for review
- Work through service agreements for secured businesses with legal department
- Ensure compliance to Access World Group Policies
- Other duties as assigned by the Superior
- Reinforce Access World Group culture, values and reputation
