About the Sales Training Manager:
MarketStar is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sales Training Manager to join our team. As a Sales Training Manager, you will play a vital role in designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of our employees. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, facilitating and leading sales and cultural training sessions. You will help us develop Sales Capability for our sales representatives and coaches. This position will require a temporary relocation to our offices in India for at least 12 months. We believe in fostering a global team to enhance collaboration and provide diverse perspectives. Your expertise in instructional design, facilitation, and performance evaluation will be instrumental in supporting employee growth, development, and overall organizational success. The ideal candidate should be passionate about employee learning, possess excellent communication skills, and be eager for the opportunity to create a global impact.
Location:
Position will be a US remote role however, it will require a temporary relocation (12+ months) to India to provide in person support to our teams in Hyderabad and Bangalore, with some periodic travel to the Philippines. We understand that such a commitment may impact personal considerations, and we are committed to supporting our employees during this transition period. What Will You Do?

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify training needs, and design engaging and effective learning programs and materials.
  • Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and seminars using a variety of instructional techniques, such as presentations, group discussions, role-plays, and hands-on activities.
  • Deliver targeted training sessions to enhance specific skills, such as cross-cultural understanding, sales principles, leadership development, communication, problem-solving, customer service, and technical competencies.
  • Improve sales culture by developing new approaches and techniques, making support readily available, and integrating support with routine job functions.
  • Utilize e-learning platforms and authoring tools to develop online training courses and modules, catering to diverse learning styles.
  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations, surveys, and feedback to continually improve training content and delivery methods.
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), track employee training progress, and maintain training records.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and technologies in learning and development to enhance training programs and methodologies.
  • Work with HR, department managers, and other stakeholders to align training initiatives with organizational objectives and priorities.
  • Ensure training programs meet regulatory requirements and industry standards, particularly in areas like safety and compliance.
  • Assist in creating individual development plans for employees to support their career growth and professional advancement.

What Will You Need to Succeed?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Education, Training, Organizational Development, or a related field; additional certifications (such as CPLP) are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Learning and Development Trainer or similar role, with a strong track record of designing and delivering successful training programs to varied target audiences.
  • Successful track record in sales and cross-cultural training to an international audience.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple training initiatives effectively.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to use data to assess the impact of training on employee performance and organizational goals.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with employees and stakeholders.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to adjust training approaches based on audience needs and feedback.
  • Passion for learning and a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous development within the organization.
  • Flexibility to work in varied shifts to ensure all markets are covered

The pay range for this position is between $70,000 and $74,000 annually. Due to the travel requirement associated with this role, lodging will be provided and a per diem rate will be paid for the duration of the time of the required relocation. This pay structure may also include a variable bonus component. There are several factors to consider including but not limited to, the role’s responsibilities, experience, location, education/training, internal equity, and key skills.
