Bureau Veritas is looking for an

YOU ARE AN IDEAL SAMPLE LOGIN TECHNICIAN IF YOU HAVE [MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS]:

  • You have 2 years post-secondary (related environmental discipline and/or equivalent experience), (B.Sc. preferred).
  • Experience in Sample Reception an asset.
  • Experience in a Laboratory environment an asset.
  • You have good knowledge of computers (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Energetic personality comfortable with working with the public.
  • Great attention to details.
  • Ability to do repetitive tasks with few errors.
  • Plan work day functions to improve efficiencies.

  • Knowledge of test codes and sample protocols.

Working Conditions:

  • High level of work production in a fast-paced environment
  • Some weekend and overtime work required.
  • Changing priorities and balancing workload to meet tight deadlines
  • Some lifting and carrying (up to 40 lbs) and may involve long periods of standing
  • Hazardous materials are handled using established safety procedures and appropriate equipment

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accuracy of information for all in-house projects (including, but not limited to test codes and project references)
  • Investigate and resolve outstanding issues/jobs through departmental collaboration
  • Assist with the coordination of workload, training of the Sample Receiving staff, and perform the various tasks associated with the general sample administration in support of a client or Project Manager request.
  • Complete all sample administration processes to accurately label and distribute samples and properly communicate with both operations and client service groups when faced with any issues/ special requirements.
  • Adhere to Bureau Veritas’ safety policy and quality systems (QA/QC, WIs and External accreditation requirement).
  • Ensure “Good Housekeeping” standards are met or exceeded.
  • Maintain training records.
  • All other responsibilities as assigned
