Job Description
This role will require prompt and accurate registration of samples using a LIMS system. Proactive communication with customers and laboratory staff to ensure customer requirements and deadlines are met. To assist with LIMS set up & maintenance. To assist with subcontracting of work to sister Laboratories, while all the time ensuring, we deliver a good service to our customers. Preparation and disposal of day to day laboratory samples.
The purpose of this role is to drive our customer standard and developing relationships with all of our customers. To work to internal processes relating to reporting results to ensure right and on time analysis. To support the client team, manage customers ensuring they are receiving feedback and results in a timely manner. To support subcontracting of associated analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for accurately logging samples into the LIMs system in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the taking in of customer samples, sorting and labelling them while ensuring that the correct information is recorded onto the LIMS system for samples that are to be analysed.
  • Responsible for the preparation of day to day laboratory samples so they are in suitable condition for the laboratory to begin testing.
  • Ensure samples are stored correctly following sample testing.
  • Responsible to the disposal of samples when necessary.
  • Responsible for supporting the sales and customer services team in administration and planning.
  • This person must be constantly aware of the customer’s requirements and should strive to meet those requirements.
  • Responsible for handling any customer related queries where necessary and liaising with their team to problem solve these queries if needed.
  • Responsible for making any necessary changes to the LIMs system.
  • Prepare samples and paperwork for submission of samples to relevant external laboratories including the correct paperwork.
  • Build relationships with all partner labs (internal and external) ensuring a smooth transition of work to them.
  • To manage stability sample storage at the correct conditions and ensure they are submitted for analysis on the correct date.
  • Ensure Compliance to the 17025 standard at all times by adhering to the in house quality procedures provided.
  • Complete all documentation including training sheets on time, accurately and legibly.
  • Undertaking general administration duties including photocopying, typing, filing etc. as required.
  • Adhere to all company standards in the area of safety, housekeeping and quality, notifying the Team Leader / Laboratory Manager of any discrepancies.
  • Keep the working area clean and tidy.
  • Identify continual improvement in the customer’s overall experience with Eurofins by liaising with internal departments within Eurofins to ensure we meet our clients demands in a cost-effective manner.
  • Communicating any technical queries to the Team Leader / Laboratory Manager.
  • Responsible for facilitating training of other staff when required.
  • Provide cover for other members of staff as required.
  • Responsible for the continued smooth running of the area in the absence of the Team Leader
  • Be flexible to work in any area of the business as is required.
