QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Good verbal communication and understanding of written materials including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training documents.
  • Previous experience in a sanitation or cleaning role in a food processing plant is required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs., as well as being comfortable with frequent standing and/or stooping for the full shift.
  • Ability to work with strong chemicals.
  • Ability to work in high places up to 12ft and/or tight spaces.
  • Ability to work near or around machinery.
  • Frequent exposure to noise, blood, bones, fat, grease, offal, waste meat etc.

Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY:

As a Sanitation Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our production facility. You will be responsible for performing cleaning and sanitation tasks on our production equipment and facility area.
Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent
Hourly Rate: $24.50

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performing cleaning and sanitation duties on production equipment and facility areas using a high-pressure hose, which involves removing blood, bones, fat, grease, offal, waste meat, and other related materials.
  • Candidates should be comfortable working on a ladder that can go up to 10ft without guards and 12ft with guards, while operating high pressure hoses.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations while performing cleaning tasks.
  • Utilizing cleaning equipment and chemicals appropriately to ensure safety and effectiveness.
  • Maintain cleaning logs and report any issues or concerns to the supervisor.
  • Perform duties assigned from Sanitation Supervisors and Pre-op Inspectors.
  • Job duties are varied and spread over several locations in the plant. Therefore, special assignments may be created on a case-by case basis.
  • Perform daily and day assignments as scheduled by supervision as well as all other related assignments including assisting and training of other associates as required by Supervisors.
