Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the Academic Services Specialist, the SAP Administrator Human Resources-Academic Services updates and maintains employee information for Teachers for assigned schools used to produce bi-weekly payroll.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

High School plus Human Resources or payroll related courses of up to one year.
1-2 years of previous work experience in a Human Resources or Payroll department.
Proficient knowledge of SAP.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Proficient with MS Office and Google Suite.
Attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills.
Superb organizational and time management skills.
Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

Review, enter and validate employee data into SAP for assigned staff as indicated on Staff Adjustment Forms in compliance with Board policies and collective agreements.
Verify and calculate salary adjustments as required related to leaves of absence, allowances, return to work, salary rate changes and long term disability.
Respond to employee payroll related inquiries via e-mail and/or telephone and resolving issues in a timely manner and in accordance with Board policies and collective agreements.
Prepare and distribute various employee letters where changes and/or updates to status have occurred.
Manually adjust sick quotas as per the collective agreement.
Process timesheets.
Verify and calculate overpayments and produce letters accordingly.
Hire and/or rehire unqualified emergency supply teachers in preparation for timesheet entry.
Process Deferred Salary Plan Leaves including prepare contracts, Staff Adjustment Forms and Salary Adjustment Forms as well as update various lists and produce letters accordingly.
Update teacher allocation in SAP to correspond with Ministry reporting as required.
Monitor and maintain various lists based on assigned staff and produce reports as required.
