Responsibilities:
- Involved in and overseeing a smooth-running weekly payroll of circa. 1100 employees
- Reviewing payroll policies and procedures with applicable legislation and best practice, and implementing improvements are required.
- Collaborating with the finance director to ensure successful creation of financial reporting, analysis, and processes.
- Responsible for end-to-end payroll which includes Calculation of termination, resignation, and redundancy payments; Preparing fortnightly payroll payments, including superannuation and payroll tax; Awards and Enterprise Agreement
- Assisting the finance team during month end payroll journal entries and calculations
- Ability to manage workers compensation payments and prepare insurer documentation.
- Preparation, reconciliation, and processing of general ledger salaries and leave provision journals.
