Description:

If you are a skilled SAP Process Improvement Specialist:
Key duties : To streamline and optimize month-end closing processes within the finance department.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of end-to-end processes, from transactional postings in upstream systems to their impact on downstream systems.
This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to dive into every aspect of the month-end process to identify pain points and inefficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Detailed Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of the month-end closing process, including transactional postings in upstream systems and their effects on downstream systems. Identify bottlenecks, manual processes, and areas for improvement.
  • Solution Formulation: Based on the analysis, formulate strategic solutions to address underlying issues and streamline the month-end closing process. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive solutions.
  • Implementation: Lead the implementation of process improvements, ensuring smooth execution and minimal disruption to ongoing operations. Work closely with IT and finance teams to deploy solutions effectively.
  • Monitoring and Assessment: Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of implemented improvements in month-end closing. Measure key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with internal finance stakeholders to provide regular updates on improvement initiatives. Effectively communicate the value of IT contributions and build positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Collaboration with Finance Stakeholders: Work closely with finance stakeholders to understand their pain points and manual processes. Identify opportunities for automation and other solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Extensive experience (10 years) in SAP FICO and/or process improvement, preferably within a finance or accounting environment.
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end processes and systems integration within SAP.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading process improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with project management methodologies is a plus.
