Description:

Are you an SAP Project Manager with good understanding of SAP systems, modules, and functionalities to effectively manage an upgrade project? Our large Alberta-based financial client is seeking an SAP Project Manager for a 12 month contract.
Client: Financial Services
Duration: 12 months
Location: Remote but preference for Edmonton/Calgary
Pay Rate: Negotiable

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills and Experience:
Good understanding of SAP systems, modules, and functionalities to effectively manage the upgrade project.
Executed SAP Upgrades (end to end) - TRBK, Payment Central and/or S/4 Finance .
Experienced with upgrade cut-over and Go-Lives.
Facilitates SAP/SAP Fioneer resources as required to support project progress and issue resolution.
Able to navigate SAP projects through the n+1 project environment (production support and project)
Implemented functional SAP releases.
Work with Business stakeholders on requirements and user acceptance testing.
Collaborate with the SAP Support Leaders/Teams.
Understanding of Performance Testing / Disaster Recovery Testing requirements/processes/execution.
Experience managing large-scale IT projects in an agile/waterfall or hybrid framework.
Strong technical competence with experience leading projects in large, enterprise wide initiatives including application replacement, infrastructure components for key customer delivery.
The ability to coordinate the efforts of many sub-teams (technical, non-technical, internal, external) simultaneously.
Establishes a project plan; supports day to day program deliverables as determined by the project plan.
Coordinates and host meetings with stakeholders to ensure delivery of projects as per the program plan.
Indirectly supervises a cross functional group of team members from across the organization to ensure the timely, resource effective delivery of project objectives.
Effective people leadership and management skills to support an environment for high-functioning, productive and engaged teams to operate.
Works to ensure minimal organizational exposure and risk on projects. Tracks lessons learned over the course of a project and shares those lessons with team members and as part of the project close-out process.
Facilitates effective communications and understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
Ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of all necessary reports and records regarding program deliverables including:
Maintain and manage RAID log,.
Weekly status meetings & reporting.
Monthly financials, budgeting/forecasting.
Prepare & maintain PM deliverables.
Keeps key stakeholders well informed of the status of all deliverables
Ability to communicate with Executives
Supports Delivery Lead/Program Management, IMO and Project Sponsors in meeting/exceeding project objectives
Adherence to the IMO Project Delivery Framework
Apply established IMO tools, processes and standards
PMP certification required
Additional Skills “Nice to Have":
Experience with SAP Upgrades such as GRC, ILM, Portal, PI
Experience with engaging SAP Max Attention resources
Experience with Google Cloud (GCP)
Experience with Performance Testing / Disaster Recovery Testing

Responsibilities:

Be responsible for the end to end management of the annual SAP support pack project through the full life cycle from planning to close-out phases. Successfully deliver the defined goals and objectives within the project’s start/end dates and budget.
Lead the planning and coordination of upcoming support pack releases.
