POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Software and Applications Manager to lead our team in the design, development, and enhancement of SAP applications to meet business requirements effectively. The role requires a strong background in SAP functional modules, coupled with exceptional leadership and project management skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the software and applications development lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in SAP software development and configuration, with expertise in one or more SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, PP).
• Proven track record of successfully leading SAP software development projects, including customization, enhancement, and integration efforts.
• Strong understanding of SAP business processes, configuration, and customization capabilities, with the ability to design and architect complex SAP solutions.
• Experience managing and leading development teams, with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• PMP, Scrum Master, or other relevant project management certifications preferred.
• SAP certification in relevant functional areas (e.g., SAP FI, SAP SD) is a plus.

• SAP Software Development Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of SAP developers and functional consultants, providing guidance and support in the design, configuration, and customization of SAP applications.Define development standards, methodologies, and best practices to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency in SAP software development efforts.Foster collaboration and innovation within the team, encouraging knowledge sharing, skills development, and continuous improvement.
• Solution Design and Configuration: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications within the SAP ecosystem.Lead the design and configuration of SAP applications, ensuring alignment with business processes, industry best practices, and SAP standards.Provide expertise in one or more SAP functional modules, such as SAP FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, or others, depending on business needs.
• Project Management and Delivery: Plan, coordinate, and oversee SAP software development projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and establish project governance structures and processes to facilitate effective project execution.Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Integration and Testing: Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP applications with other SAP modules and external systems.Conduct thorough testing of SAP functionality, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to ensure quality and reliability.Work closely with business users to validate and sign off on delivered SAP applications, ensuring alignment with business requirements and expectations.
• Change Management and User Support: Develop and implement change management strategies to facilitate user adoption and organizational readiness for SAP applications.Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring they are equipped to effectively utilize and maximize the value of SAP applications in their daily operations.Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, advocating for the needs and priorities of the business throughout the software development lifecycle.
