Our partner is a leading renewable energy company committed to building large-scale solar farms across Australia. They specialize in the design, construction, and commissioning of solar projects, contributing to the country’s clean energy future. As they expand their operations, they are seeking a dedicated SCADA Engineer to join their dynamic team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in SCADA engineering. Key qualifications and experience include:

  • Proficiency in technical specifications and review of client requirements for SCADA systems.
  • Extensive experience in the development and supervision of SCADA systems, including control of deliverables such as specifications, signal lists, and IHM definitions.
  • Expertise in IEC61850 implementation for solar and storage projects.
  • Strong capabilities in configuring and troubleshooting SCADA software, historian servers, and communication networks.
  • Proven ability to develop custom automation scripts for various applications, such as sequencers, busbar colouring, event lists, and alarm lists.
  • Knowledge of process communication engineering protocols, including IEC60870-5-104, DNP3, and Modbus.
  • Experience in firewall engineering and implementing cybersecurity measures to safeguard SCADA systems.
  • Proficient in conducting FAT activities and tests, as well as commissioning procedures and end-to-end tests.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with primary engineering and P&C engineering teams for development and interface tests.
  • Demonstrated commitment to staying updated on energy trends, standards, and best practices related to SCADA and IEC61850.

Responsibilities:

We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of SCADA and Automation Supervisor for a High Voltage Substation and Renewable Power Plant projects. As the SCADA and Automation Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and controlling the implementation of SCADA and automation activities, ensuring the seamless operation of our energy infrastructure projects. Key responsibilities include technical specifications of the SCADA system, development and supervision of SCADA systems, implementation of IEC61850 for solar and storage, configuration and troubleshooting of SCADA software, and conducting commissioning procedures and end-to-end tests.
