Description:

We are an ever-evolving and growing non-profit organization in Hampton Roads, home to the largest concentration of military in the nation. The Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA) of Hampton Roads recognizes the challenges associated with military life and provides support programs specially designed to meet the unique needs of military families. With only 12 locations nationwide, we offer an array of no-cost and low-cost programs and services, unlike your neighborhood Y. We do NOT have paid memberships, pools, or fitness equipment. We have five core programs that focus primarily on child development initiatives to enhance cognitive development and social-emotional growth and connection while providing skills to strengthen resilience. Our impact on the lives of our families is real.

  • In 2021, we were able to serve 11,341 service members and their families to provide 45,942 points of service and reach all 5 branches of service as well as our veteran community within Coastal Virginia.
