OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Experience working within libraries within a similar institutional setting
• Librarian qualifications recognised by the Australian Library and Information Association for Associate membership
• Qualifications in teaching (along with NESA registration) are desirable but not necessary for success in this role
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
• Clear and personable communication manner – both verbal and written
  Please Note: A valid Working with Children’s Check will be required for success in this role

THE ROLE:

We are looking for an enthusiastic School Librarian to join our supportive team at our Islamic Northwestern Sydney school!
Maintaining and updating library systems; is the ideal role for someone passionate about student learning and who is looking for a role to truly build their career in.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cataloging, Ordering, and Processing library materials
• Supporting teachers and students through finding relevant reading materials for students and
• Providing photocopying and print support to faculty and students
• Encouraging a love of reading through your own reading and knowledge of Young Adult Literature and Classics
• Commit to the safeguarding and promotion of student welfare
