JOB SUMMARY

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for a highly motivated expert in Space and Cyberspace to provide Advisory and Assistance Services to Space Operation Command’s (SpOC) Science and Technology division and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
This pivotal role provides direct support to SpOC’s Chief Scientist, offering invaluable analysis and facilitating potential integration of cyberspace capabilities. As the cornerstone of this role, the contractor will oversee all phases, processes, and procedures associated with the Cyber Capability Collaboration Team (CCT), ensuring seamless execution and alignment with the Management of Science and Technology guidelines (AFI 61-101).
In addition, the contractor will serve as a technical powerhouse, offering expert guidance and support for Cyber-Science and Technology (S&T) endeavors. This includes active participation in S&T conferences, providing invaluable technical support for cyber S&T tasks, and readily assisting with cyber S&T activities as requested by the Chief Scientist or their designated representative. This multifaceted role not only drives the progress of the cyber CCT process but also fosters innovation and advancement within SpOC’s cyberspace capabilities.
Job Requirements:

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 10+ years of relevant DoD space and/or cyberspace experience
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, effectively expressing concepts, plans, and proposals
  • Spearheading technical and managerial oversight of the annual 3-phased CCT process, ensuring seamless execution and optimization of Cyber Security and Cyber Operations initiatives
  • Steering the development of cyber operations and cyber security technical requirements tailored to meet the evolving needs of the warfighter, fostering innovation and effectiveness in defense strategies
  • Collaborating with esteemed external agencies like the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to identify comprehensive solutions, both material and non-material, to address critical warfighting needs.
  • Orchestrating potential cyber operations and security solutions in conjunction with Program Offices, actively contributing to the management of solution roadmaps for potential integration into the SpOC Corporate Process, thus supporting future capability enhancements
  • Providing expert technical guidance and facilitation for outreach campaigns, engaging with vital stakeholders such as Space Deltas, Space Warfighting Analysis Center/Space Security and Defense Program, Joint community, and esteemed research laboratories
  • Leveraging over a decade of invaluable experience in DoD space and/or cyberspace realms to conduct independent research, evaluations, and analysis, exhibiting a remarkable level of autonomy and expertise
  • Proficiently distilling complex information into clear and accessible formats, ensuring comprehension and alignment across diverse audiences, fostering informed decision-making and actionable insights
  • Flourishing as a self-initiator, thriving in roles characterized by autonomy and minimal supervision, consistently delivering exceptional results and driving initiatives forward with vigor and determination
  • Demonstrating a proactive approach towards problem-solving, exhibiting a natural inclination towards taking preemptive actions to mitigate risks and ensure seamless project execution

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in cyber security, demonstrating a solid foundation of theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for success in the industry
  • Key Skills/Experience Required for Interview Selection ONLY
  • Providing technical guidance and facilitation for outreach campaigns to include engagements with Space Deltas, Space Warfighting Analysis Center/Space Security and Defense Program, Joint community, and research laboratories
  • Managing and facilitating the development of cyber operations and cyber security technical needs for the warfighter
  • Provide technical support and advisement for cyber S&T activities related to the overall progress of the cyber CCT process
  • Recent experience working in a classified environment with classified programs

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
