Description:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Working knowledge of the application of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) to problem solving;
  • Knowledge and experience on the delivery of STEM programs;
  • Experience working with youth;
  • Knowledge of the principles of Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
  • Understanding of data collection methodologies and standards;
  • Knowledge of the application of RPAS to data collection;
  • An understanding of working in a cross-cultural environment;
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills;
  • Excellent oral and written English communications skills;
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office, e-mail, Internet, and basic office equipment; and
  • Knowledge of Northern Canada.

TYPICALLY, THE ABOVE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE ATTAINED BY:

  • Two years work experience in a STEM related field, with at least one year of STEM related outreach/instructional experience
  • Completion of a University Degree or Diploma with a major in a STEM related field
  • Class 5 Drivers License required
