Description:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Working knowledge of the application of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) to problem solving;
- Knowledge and experience on the delivery of STEM programs;
- Experience working with youth;
- Knowledge of the principles of Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Understanding of data collection methodologies and standards;
- Knowledge of the application of RPAS to data collection;
- An understanding of working in a cross-cultural environment;
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills;
- Excellent oral and written English communications skills;
- Ability to use Microsoft Office, e-mail, Internet, and basic office equipment; and
- Knowledge of Northern Canada.
TYPICALLY, THE ABOVE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE ATTAINED BY:
- Two years work experience in a STEM related field, with at least one year of STEM related outreach/instructional experience
- Completion of a University Degree or Diploma with a major in a STEM related field
- Class 5 Drivers License required
