POSITION SUMMARY
The Scientific Engineer leads product development efforts for emerging technologies/products; evaluates manufacturing processes for application on new and existing products by independently evaluating, selecting, and applying standardized scientific or engineering procedures and techniques.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or related field
- Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred
- 8+ years technology development experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
- Proficient at Design of Experiment and data analysis.
- Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting

Responsibilities:
- Leads new product development projects.
- Coordinates project and research planning and activities.
- Leads the transfer of the research efforts into the new product/technology development activities.
- Leads design reviews at various stages of technology development.
- Supports existing products/technologies as necessary as a subject matter expert to maintain product quality and production needs.
- Identifies technologies that result in opportunities for product quality enhancements, enhanced features, improved user experience, etc.
- Provides input to company’s strategic planning process.
- Additional duties as assigned.
