Description:

POSITION DESCRIPTION

We seek an enthusiastic Scientific Officer (Health Professional) to join our Immunohistochemistry area of the Histology Department. You will be an essential team member, and your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Performing a wide range of histology activities including sound, microtomy and immunochemistry
  • Operating both Roche and Leica staining platforms
  • Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment and identifying opportunities for process improvement.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Graduated with a Medical Science Degree or recognised AIMS equivalent with particular focus in Immunohistochemistry and advanced ancillary diagnostic staining
  • Minimum two years experience in histology, including sound, microtomy and immunohistochemistry staining experience. Knowledge in ULTRA Machine will be highly regarded.
  • Open to working full time hours Monday to Friday from 3pm to 11pm
  • Excellent attention to detail and good time management skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work unsupervised
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
