Description:
Singapore Phenome Centre (SPC) aims to deliver world-class metabolic phenotyping services to NTU’s scientific community, Singapore’s researchers and industries in Singapore and beyond. The Scientific Officer is responsible for conducting analytical experiments and assisting with administration duties in SPC.
Responsibilities:
- Metabolite extraction from clinical and environmental samples
- Operate UPLC-QTOF, UPLC-TQ and NMR for metabolomics using standard operation protocol
- Report the results internally with the centre and department
- Assisting with various projects and operation of the centre
- Any ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Candidates should have a degree in Chemistry
- Experience in analytical instruments such as LC-MS, LC-MS/MS, QTOF, TQ, Mass Spectrometry Imagining would be highly desirable
- Communicate efficiently with the team, is a fast learner, and require minimal supervision
- Knowledge of analytical application in clinical and environmental science
- Good laboratory practice
This is a 1 year contract appointment.
