Description:

Johnson & Johnson Innovation is recruiting a Scientific Portfolio Engagement Lead of Johnson & Johnson Innovation JLABS. JLABS (“JLABS”) is the external R&D engine of Johnson & Johnson, catalyzing a community of entrepreneurs in health, operating a network of life science incubators focusing and accelerating emerging through its development, and supporting the portfolio to successful partnering and funding.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Scientific Portfolio Engagement Lead provides support to the Head of JLABS Singapore in all aspects building a world-class scientific/technology portfolio for the region.

QUALIFICATIONS

· M.D./Ph.D. in a relevant life sciences/biomedical engineering field is required

  • 5-8 years of broad MedTech and/or Pharma R&D experience, preferably across multiple therapeutic areas and/or technologies/platforms is required
  • Experience with startups for partnerships in industry to achieve milestones, alliance management, building fruitful partnerships with world-class KOLs, and working in an open innovation R&D capacity to leverage external opportunities for pipeline impact is preferred
  • Experience in creating and evaluating IP portfolios/strategies is required
  • Established track record working with cross-functional teams in a matrix environment and partnering with/managing stakeholders is required
  • Excellent leadership, influencing, and decision-making skills, proven ability to foster team productivity and cohesiveness, acting as a change agent, adapting to rapidly changing organization and business environments is required
  • This role is located in Singapore with up to 10% travel is required.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be professional, organized and detail oriented. This is a team-oriented position that plays an integral role in facilitating processes and procedures. She/he will also demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal direction. We seek a self-motivated individual ready to take on the many functions. Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
