We are seeking a talented, experienced, and motivated Scientist to join the Immuno-Assays group. This role will serve as a scientific point of contact for the running of cell-based Immuno-Assay development, qualification/validation to support programs across multiple therapeutic areas. The Scientist will design and execute cell-based assay development, qualification or validation, and the running of clinical samples to return high-quality data for clinical trials conducted by Moderna. The candidate will have broad knowledge of best practices in cell culture and immunoassays, and prior experience in running assay validation and conducting data acquisition on clinical specimens. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for training junior team members when and where needed to perform analytical work and maintain clinical testing continuity. The ability to effectively communicate across multi-disciplinary teams and external partners is required. The candidate will be aware of the newest technology and critical reagents in his field of expertise. The candidate should be an outstanding scientist, collaborative team member, and excellent communicator to support Moderna’s portfolio needs.
Here’s What You’ll Do:Your key responsibilities will be:
Be responsible for the quality and integrity of assigned bioanalytical projects in support of clinical trials at Moderna.
Serve as a key analyst, perform assay development, qualification/validation, and sample analysis.
Deliver high-quality data within defined timelines and aligned to current industry expectations.
Author bioanalytical reports.
Identify and resolve quality issues and report issues to upper management.
Occasionally the job may require overtime work or weekend shifts as needed.
Coach and train junior staff within the lab.
Provide key inputs on assigned junior members’ strengths and development needs.
Contribute to periodic performance reviews of assigned junior associates.
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines and maintain training records.
Travel for attending training, technical conferences, and exhibits as required.
Responsibilities:

Represent the bioanalytical function on project teams and present results, data interpretation, timelines, etc., at project meetings.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate new bioanalytical technologies and solutions to support challenging project requests.
