Responsibilities:

We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate, vibrant and engaged team who will be responsible for:

  • Performing all routine histological procedures from point of specimen reception to execution of results for Pathological diagnosis, including specimen dissection
  • Participate in attending FNA Procedures
  • Recording of results in line with protocols
  • Maintaining current scientific knowledge
  • Participation in both routine and audit related Quality Assurance activities
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and the development of new assays as required
  • Participating in training staff
  • Liaising with internal and/ or external stakeholders (referring practitioners) regarding test results or referrals as necessary
  • Compliance and adherence with Policies and Procedures, Workplace Health and Safety Procedures and Quality Assurance Processes.
