As “Scientist / Ecotoxicologist”, you are the scientific expert assessing and ensuring the environmental safety of dsm-firmenich ingredients in particular from the perfumery & beauty business according to the international legislations, regulations, and industry standards. You will represent Ecotoxicology in international cross-functional teams and contribute to the dsm-firmenich’s innovation strategy by supporting Research & Development projects during the entire project life cycle. You interact with our customers and provide technical support to our premarket and marketed products.
The position is located in Brussels area and is part of the global Regulatory Affairs Toxicology Group.

• Provide expertise in environmental safety and corresponding regulations to research, innovation and customer projects
• Liaise with research and innovation teams, contribute to the environmental safety program for new innovation products
• Work with external labs and consultants for the generation of ecotoxicity and environmental fate data
• Perform environmental safety assessments, present and discusses with authorities and industry associations
• Monitor worldwide chemical regulations and scientific developments in the field of environmental safety
• Participate in key strategic projects for the company
