EDUCATION

  • MS in immunology, biology, biochemistry or related field or BS with 3 years proven experience

EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrated 3 years experience in immunology, biology, molecular biology or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years experience staining, acquiring, and analyzing cells in flow cytometry
  • Experience in industrial setting preferred
  • Experience in cell culture and intracellular cytokine staining preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Experience in industrial setting preferred
  • Hands-on experience with multi-color extracellular staining and flow cytometry
  • Understanding of cytometry data analysis techniques (e.g. population gating, compensation, etc.)
  • Proficiency with flow cytometry analysis software (e.g. FlowJo)
  • Experience preparing and culturing human and mouse primary immune cells preferred
  • Ability to process tissue and isolate cells, particularly human PBMCs and mouse splenocytes
  • Experience following standard operating procedures with a focus on reproducibility
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work alongside colleagues from different backgrounds
  • The ability to identify potential problems and provide relevant solutions
  • Ability to succeed with a moderate level of supervision and guidance

Responsibilities:

  • Validate and support the commercialization of new reagents for high-dimensional conventional and spectral flow cytometry
  • Conduct functional testing of research- and commercial-use bioconjugates for application-specific use
  • Integrate multiple new reagents into panels for use in high-dimensional conventional and spectral flow cytometry
  • Closely follow standard operating procedures while adhering to all safety requirements
  • Design and implement experimental plans, troubleshooting, data analysis, and reporting of results
  • Directly work with R&D leadership, product management, and project management to develop and complete project plans that support product development initiatives
  • Run multiple experiments concurrently to meet product release timelines
  • Provide a significant level of independence and strong partnership
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of relevant fields and technique
