In the R&D Chemistry Solutions department, which is part of Roche Diagnostics Solutions (RDS), we develop chemical ingredients for diagnostic products. Our task is to provide chemical solutions for diagnostic problems within the entire product portfolio.
The team of ten team members with technical and scientific backgrounds is working on organic-chemical syntheses, in particular in the field of nucleic acids. We take a flexible and goal-oriented approach to develop high-quality, customized molecules for our internal and external customers, but also do not forget to have fun at work.

• You are responsible for the execution of organic chemical syntheses to provide sophisticated molecular structures, partly related to nucleic acid chemistry, as well as corresponding precursors.
• The production, isolation, purification, characterization and functional evaluation of chemical and biochemical molecules are also part of your tasks.
• You are familiar with the handling of complicated physico-chemical equipment, the analytical characterization and evaluation of synthesis products using various analytical methods (e.g. NMR, HPLC, MS).
• The documentation and presentation of experimental procedures and analysis results supplements your area of responsibility.
• You will work in an international project team and ensure cross-site communication.
