Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Scrum Master will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Web Squad and help them to provide a great service to the ANU community. The Scrum Master will work closely with the Squad and web governance group, seamlessly engaging with diverse stakeholder groups, including other technical teams, Colleges, Service Divisions, Executives and vendors and external partners as required.
The Scrum Master is required to facilitate key Scrum Events, enabling the Squad to optimise delivery outcomes and contributions to the ANU strategic mission. They will have a solid understanding of and experience with applying modern delivery management methodologies and technologies, in particular Scrum and the Atlassian suite.

KEY DUTIES:

  • Enable delivery of key work packages from inception through to completion by applying the relevant Agile principles and practices, taking into account the operational context and the ITS scaled Agile portfolio approach and operating model.
  • Provide leadership and support to create an engaged and cohesive team that operates according to the ITS target cultural values, that understands core Agile concepts, and that practices these in alignment with the ITS ways of working.
  • Ensure appropriate governance, including helping make progress, risks and issues visible and ensuring outcomes are delivered and measured.
  • Drive data-inspired continuous improvement within the operating environment, fostering growth mindsets and capabilities across all members of the squad and broader stakeholder groups.
