Description:

CORE COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE [MAX 5]:

Strategic Sourcing - Demonstrates robust understanding of business, Identifies and prioritises stakeholders, builds sustainable relationships to drive cost benefit for Customer.
Contract and Supply Agreements - Protects Customers interests by developing commercial sound local contracts based on thorough understanding of legal and ethical environments and manages contract related KPIs and ensure minimal value leakage via local contracts.
Procurement Negotiation - Ability to support locally led complex and high value negotiations as well as lead local tactical negotiations by applying creative models, leveraging various cost out programmes and using various behavioural techniques to achieve best commercial outcome for Customer.
In-life Contract/ Supplier Management - Analyse data and generate insights to question and influence local business requirements to optimize demand linked to local business strategy and budget. Facilitate SRM across local suppliers and contracts
Operational Control – Utilizing VPC know how, develop local approach to ensure Customer benefits from compliance via deliver of products and services
Best Practice/Knowledge Share – Ensure the Customer has a clear understanding of local industry trends, economic, financial and market dynamics, commercial models and demonstrates business foresight to contribute to local category strategy and/or enable delivery of effective sourcing activities.

MUST HAVE TECHNICAL / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong procurement /commercial background
  • Good contractual experience
  • Prior negotiation experience

Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing – Understand the Customers business needs and for such purpose, support their requirements on architecture, scope of products and services required, specifications, forecasted spend and volume, measured against VPC & local baseline pricing. Perform analysis on existing supplier contracts benchmarked against VPC global standards. Prepare scenarios and RFP plans where necessary.
Contract and Supply Agreements – Support Customer with RFx documentation preparation, utilising VPC ‘best practice’ templates and expertise. Support Customer via VPC to leverage local spend to benefit Customer. Using VPC category managers and D2C principles to provide Customer with competitive advantage in local market
In-life Contract/Supplier management – Regular assessment of Supplier performance aligned to VPC SRM policy. Management of continuous improvement plans as agreed between, Customer and Suppliers
Operational Control – Where possible, undertake a review in conjunction with Customer technology team to ensure that agreed products and services, being delivered, comply with local contractual requirements, including any commercial requirements
Best Practice/Knowledge share – Where possible, provide costs references from VPC in order to enable Customer to benchmark pricing and other critical reference points. Support Customer via VPC D2C ‘tear down’ reports to establish actual cost with Suppliers. Where possible and as allowed under confidentiality provide knowledge on ‘know how’ global trends, technology improvements, legislation changes and general knowledge sharing to the benefit of the Customers business
