We are passionate about providing an excellent, fresh as fish and seafood option to our community in a competitive market.
We are seeking a full-time dynamic and experienced Seafood Manager to join our team. As the Manager, you will be responsible for maximising sales and achieving profitability. Effectively leading the team, ensuring the best quality seafood is available, while maintaining food safety records. Providing knowledgeable advice and great service to our customers. This will suit someone with passion and experience working with fresh seafood in a customer service business.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience managing a seafood department.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the best seafood department standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and customer-oriented environment.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Physically fit and able to fulfil the requirements of the role.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the seafood department’s operations, including inventory management, staff performance, and driving customer service.
  • Provide leadership, support, and specialist knowledge to the seafood team, fostering a culture of excellent customer service and teamwork.
  • Lead on-job training and development of seafood department staff as needed.
  • Monitor seafood inventory levels and ensure product quality and freshness.
  • Manage seafood department merchandising and ensure that seafood displays are attractive and well-stocked.
  • Handle customer inquiries and concerns regarding seafood products in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Food Safety, you will need to be able to follow our Food Safety plan.
  • You will need to complete all required paperwork and follow all of the procedures included in the plan.
  • Housekeeping will be a big part of this role; our department needs to be kept in a clean and hygienic state at all times.
  • Administrative tasks and reporting related to the seafood department.
